Speakers with my LCD

Just wandred if anyone can tell me if it is ok to put my TEAC front speakers close to my LCD TV. With my old tv they used to distort the picture and cause like a purple colour on the edges of the screen. Don't know much about these things, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Jon

Re: Speakers with my LCD

That would have been the speakers interfering with the gun in the TV. LCDs don't use them, so you shouldn't have any issues. I have a pair of desktop PC speakers and the sub sitting on my desk just inches away from my LCD monitor.

Re: Speakers with my LCD

LCD TVs are not affected by the stray magnetism from unshielded speakers.
