Anthony Gallo Micro's

Just been looking at all the Micro threads but didn't really pick up much on the following point.

For all the Micro owners out there, how well do 3rd party Subs integrate into a 5 speaker package? I am thinking of using a Velodyne CHT10?

Next question, has naybody had a demo with these speakers against the B&W VM1's?

Uncle Eric any comments?

Tim

Well I've only been living with my Micros for a day now (bought them at the Bristol show on Friday, Anthony Gallos had 'em here by Saturday a.m ), so they're still running in.

But they're working with a CHT10, and the integration works well for me. I'm still toying with the crossover, undecided between 100Hz and 120Hz, and I think I'll keep playing until the 60 hour run-in period is over on the Micros. But initial impressions are very positive, with no complaints on the integration of the two.

I've seen comments in other threads covering Micros and a CHT10. All were positive, IIRC.

Other Micro owners (not intending to hijack the thread !) - how does the sound change over the run-in period ?

Cheers, Carl.

fuller and deeper, loses any tininess and starts to produce lower notes as well. the effects of the run in period of the gallos is startling.

Where did all the beds go

I was at the show on Friday too, I wonder where all those beds went out of each of the bedrooms.

Thanks Cwick.

Can anybody else offer some first hand feedback on the 3rd party sub integration...

Tim

You shouldn't be concerned about this - a good sub will integrate well with anything, and the Vel CHT10 is a good sub. There's nothing in the Gallo Micros that require the use of the Gallo sub.

Bristol Show

Thanks Groundy.

At the Bristol Show on Friday, in the Anthony Gallo bedroom (the one with the Micro's in it) did anybody spot the Diva being used for the centre speaker???

The AG rep said it was a better option than using the standard micro...

I bought them 2

Just come back after a long day at the show. Ordered the micro's...I 2 was told that the Diva gave a better reproduction for the center speaker, but listening to them them seemed slightly more overpowering. Also having read many a thread on this forum I've noticed that keeping the front three speakers the same is the way forward

I look forward to recieving them. Cwick you have a pm
