bi wiring? does it make a big difference??
hi
i recently bought some kef q4 floorstanders and a q6c center from the trading forums, and i want to wire them up since my speaker cable has just arrived
i've had a read about it on the kef site, but what i want to know is, is it worth bi wiring them??
i will only have the 2 floorstanders and the center (no sub or rears) at the min, if this would be a factor??
cheers

that is a diagram of biwiring, in terms of does it make a difference, I believe it does and some others believe it doesn't. The best course of action is to listen to them wired up normally then listen to them biwired. I find there is much more detail to the music when biwired.

Re: bi wiring? does it make a big difference??
I used to bi wire my b&w 603-3 speakers with some qed silver anni cable and they sounded good I then decided to try using some higher quality qed silver anniversary xt cable with qed airlocs on a single run and the sound was much much better in every aspect. You will find a much you get the best sound from using a decent cable and if you have thr funds bi-amping insteading or bi-wiring. For the 805's I will be using some QED Genesis Silver spiral on single runs but like leedswillprevai said it all depends on your on ears!

Re: bi wiring? does it make a big difference??
May I suggest use of the forum search facility at the top right of the thread list.
This must have been discussed at least twice this week alone and every thread ends up with the same overall conclusion - Some think it works, some don't.

Also try searching in the Cables forum, where the same issue has been done to death several times.
The answer is very much as above...for some speakers and amps it provides an audible difference if not improvement, and others may find no effects at all.
