Z-5500 Humming (different from the others, I think)

Ok, I just bought a few years old Z-5500, and as soon as it has power i.e, power cable plugged in and the main power button on, it starts humming.

I do believe that the sound is coming from the amp itself, and not produced through the sub? The sound does not get louder(or lower) when I turn up(down) the volume, it is always constant, no matter what settings, what is plugged in or not, no matter what room and where I plug it in the wall. hmmmmmm

1. Is there a solution?
2. Is it harmful to the system? Could It be a sign of a bigger issue?
3. Do I get my money back?

Moving cables etc does not help, it hums even if nothing at all is connected. (also without the controls)

EDIT: Also, sound is good tho, but at low volumes or at silent spots in films, its annying. + I couldnt sleep without unplugging the damn thing
