Help! Speakers for A & R Cambridge A60 Amp?

Hi. I'm looking for a bit of help. I like my things old fashioned / old skool, so recently my v. kind boyfriend bought my a great looking A & R Cambridge A60 Integrated Amp. I've read that back in the day it was considered a pretty good amp. Could anyone recommend speakers that would go well with this amp? I'm looking for good-sized, floor standing speakers, not huge, but say, 50-60 cm high. Any suggestions would be so much appreciated. Many thanks, Simona.

It might help others to help you, if you could mention musical tastes, room size and your budget - also if you want new or pre-owned?

If you are thinking of sourcing some old skool speakers try and get hold of TDL RTL2 speakers. A very early transmission line design and a very capable speaker. I've run RTL4, RTL3 and RTL2 in the past with and without Arcam amps.

Black Stump : Thanks so much for your comments. My boyfriend has an huge music collection and listens to just about everything. The room is well-sized, around 5m x 10m. I'm looking for something that will match the amp, so pre-owned. Budget - up to £250.

Liam @ Prog AV : I'll check out the TDL speakers - thanks!

Simo.

No problem, I'm by no means an expert, but through experience, I've found that the more info you give on here the better the responces.
Hopefully, someone will point you in the right direction.
Welcome aboard.
