XTZ Speakers powerbuy

Powerbuy closed.

We recommend checking out our online shop for prices and offers. For the UK and Ireland we still pay for shipping.

Re: XTZ Speakers powerbuy

Is there anywhere we can get to hear any of these in the UK?
If not, are there any plans in the near future?

Also, for clarity, are these prices per speaker, or a pair?

At the moment we have no retailer in the UK but we are looking for a good one, preferrably one that is able to supply the complete area. We have shipped some products to be tested by forum members, and welcome interest from more. Maybe some listening sessions might be arranged by the "crash test dummies". Also, we offer "Buy & Try", if you buy a pair of speakers you have three weeks to decide if you like them or not. if not, simply send them back to us for a full refund! (except shipping costs). This way, you can try them in your home environment and really get to know them. This is much better than listening in a store, where the sound is almost guaranteed not to sound the same way as your listening room at home.

And the prices are each pair, not single speakers. (except subwoofers of course)

The 99.26 stands are Ģ75 each pair, but currently out of stock.

Re: XTZ Speakers powerbuy

Yes, I was informed after I posted that they are coming over this week.
I'm going to try to get to hear them

That said, my understanding is that you're not sending any 93WMT.

Now, I reckon you might be able to make some good sales on these budget speakers. With a 6.5" driver, silk tweeter and similar price, they're in SVS SBS territory, but probably more aesthestically pleasing to most people. The ability to tweak interests me too.
Seeing as I already have the SVS, I think a comparison is in order

Please PM me the details on how I buy these at the powerbuy price

Oh, one last question.
How long is the warranty?

Great! You are correct about the 93īs, we didnīt include them in this shipment as we figured the other ones were more suitable. Of course, the "Buy & Try" concept applies to these as well.

I would feel a bit cheeky sending them back to Sweden to be honest, even if it cost me the post.
No worries, even if I'm not that keen, they are guaranteed to be better than what I use upstairs in the bedroom.

I've transferred the money as requested and sent you a mail.
Unfortunately it'll take 5-7 working days

You need to get a UK partner

I wonder if you could do some sort of deal with Subsonic sounds?
They have a similar sort of arrangement with SVS.
Just a thought

Re: XTZ Speakers powerbuy

We noticed and follow your impressions closely. Itīs true the speakers "mature" quite a lot the first time, especially the ones using the Seas Excel driver. The ribbon tweeter also benefits from being "played in" but not as much as the woofers. Happy listening!

Re: XTZ Speakers powerbuy

Noticed some text stating that the 99.26 (which is the same as a 99.25 but i can't see a price for those) is a better all round speaker than a KEF XQ20, which is a bold claim for a Ģ480/520 loudspeaker, especially given that that price includes international shipping! Some of you will know that i'm very sceptical of huge claims for products i've not heard, especially when big differences in price points are concerned.

It will be interesting to hear what views are thrown up from the testers....

The text origins from a recent test in the no 9 issue of Swedish AV magazine "Ljud & Bild" (which roughly translates to Sound & Picture". The complete test can be read here: (translated version)

Re: XTZ Speakers powerbuy

Do you have frequency response details for the 93WMT and 99W12S?

Also price for 99W12S?

It looks like a nice potential 2nd room system, but I can't find these details on any of the documentation.

Re: XTZ Speakers powerbuy

Actually, having read that conclusion, the phrase "better all round speaker than a KEF XQ20" is probably one that will be slightly misinterpreted, as i did. The review does praise the KEF highly, but just states that the XTZ is better for the money, which is a fair comment.

There are many products out there that are "better for the money" rather than "better". I'd say the phrase "better for the money" is the same as, and is as popular as the saying "law of diminishing returns".

Re: XTZ Speakers powerbuy

Well, as we see it the reviewer actually wrote that the 99.26 is a better allround speaker than the KEF XQ20. It doensīt mean it is better at everything, just as an allround. But in our opinion, the most important aspect is that the KEF and B&W speakers are almost 3 or 4 times more expensive. Some may think this is simply a "biased" test or similar, but we are not that surprised actually: If you strip down the huge marketing budget, distributor/retailer network and overhead cost, a good guess would be you end up at about the same price as the 99.26 speakers.
Anyway, tests should only be considered an extra input when deciding what speakers to buy. What counts is how every customer think his speaker sounds, and thatīs why we offer Try&Buy. Sure, it means a small "risk" in terms of return shipping costs if not satisfied, but the gain is so much bigger. You know exactly how the speakers sound in your particuar room before having to decide, far superior to listening in stores or similar.

We hope most people agree with us, and see the benefits.

Well you would have to offer try before you buy as you have no retailers to market your product. And if you're saying that the KEF and B&W 'probably' cost the same to make etc, you're not likely to find any retailers with the available profit margin.

Hi. I'm keeping an eye on Badgers regularly updated review of the 93's but I'm just enquiring if you sell them individually?

I'm considering the 93's as an update to my front L&R but this may (i'm hoping it doesn't) highlight an issue with my current centre or it may just not match. Obviously if this is the case i'll want to buy an individual 93 for the centre or would you suggest another from XTZ?

Re: XTZ Speakers powerbuy

The only way to find out is to try, and if you find that matching the tone of the 93īs and your center is not possible you could consider the 93 WMT Shielded. But if youīre lucky they will sound good as it is.

What is the delivered price of a pair of 99.25s and the additional price for a 99.25 shielded/centre?

Re: XTZ Speakers powerbuy

Hi, I looked at these speakers and they seem very good with what Russ and Badger have said on their reviews.

I am in Ireland, do you deliver to here? If you don't then you can stop reading now

But if you do, I have a Marantz Sr8001 receiver and a 5.1 setup that I want to upgrade. I have no set budget, but, around 1500 euro. My room is about 11foot wide, 16 foot long and 7 foot high. Would you be able to recommend a complete package of your speakers for me? Fronts, centre and rears. I have always wanted floorstanders, just wonder is my room too small.

thanks in advance!!

Re: XTZ Speakers powerbuy

We updated the top of this thread with the price of the 99.25īs (same as 99.26). Basically this is the same speaker as 99.26 except for the cabinet design. 99.25 are rectangular, 99.26 has a cabinet shaped like the one on the picture on the top.

We will check about delivering to Ireland!
