Strange one, please help.
I recently brought a Toshiba Multimedia center and a Soundland 2.1 system.
I wanted the Tosh bit of kit for the USB hub option as much as anything but with the volume control on it as well it meant not having to stoop under my desk to adjust the volume on the sub. I'm running XP SP2 and have the media centre connected via USB 2 and the 2.1 package connected to the Tosh multimedia centre. Now here's the thing. When I play movies or music from say Youtube or my hard disk it's absolutely fine. If I play a CD or DVD from either of my DVD drives I can hear the sound but it's overpowered by a very loud hiss, very remiscent of the film 'white noise' if you've seen it. It's unlistenable. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks. Dave. |
