Hi all.
I need some advice on buying new kit. I'm after a 2.1 speaker/audio system which will work with my laptop and PS3. The connectors I have on my laptop are HDMI, USB, and headphone jack. The PS3 is connected to my TV via HDMI (but the TV speakers suck), so I think optical would be the way to connect to the new system. Ideally the speaker system would have at least two optical inputs (or three!) built in as I also have an XBox360 in storage which I'd like to connect up later. Connecting to the laptop would have to be either USB (like the newer Creative and Logitech units have) or via an input from the headphone jack on the laptop. My budget is preferably under £300. Keeping wires and clutter to a minimum is important so I'd rather not go down the separate receiver path. Is there anything like it on the market? Or does anyone have any other ideas? Thanks in advance. |
