Still need help with passthrough with soundcard.

Hope someone can help me here.Have a Auzen x-plosion soundcard.I want to send 5.1 signal to my amp so it can do all the decoding dutys.I have connected an optical cable to my amp.It works fine when I send a signal through my card in dolby live or dts connect but I cant get a passthrough signal to my amp.I set my AC3filter on spddiff and passthrough and all my players to spfiff or passthrough stilll no sound.I have tried several codec packs I am using Klite codec pack at the moment.I am stumped now so I hope someone here has the answer I need.

oddly enuff i had a similar problem.
I took off ALL the codecs on my machine.
Install K lite FULL only(dont change any settings)
Used a new optical cable,then it started working as it should (passthru)
Sometimes when a problem arises with sound or video we tend to install TOO many codecs,then neither will work properly.

I have to agree with Chris here

we are all guilty of installing loads of codecs for different players to work, uninstall all what you have and start again with one codec pack and leave it at that. if its a 64 bit op system you have such as vista I have found too many problems so changed to 32 bit and now alls well

Thanks for the replies.Think I'v cracked it.My main player is Media player classic added the ac3 filter to the external filter list and seems to have done the job.Thanks again.
