Windows Media Centre 2005 + Soundblaster xfi exstreme music, settings help
Hi there
was wondering if you guys could help me. Basicaly, I got Windows Media Centre 2005 ,Sound Blaster X-fi Exstreme Music. And a logitech 5.1 speaker system. I believe I have everything hooked up fine. When in X-fi's software and I sound check each speaker, it plays sound from each speaker just as it should. However, When I go into windows media centre and set up the speakers. When I select 5.1 and it does a test.. I never get the same as X-fi. Its always either like a mash out of all the speakers..and it never really sounds like its coming from the rear (to much sound in the front) or it is coming all from the rear. I use roxio's cineplayer surround 3.2 to decode dvd's as an as of yet unsolved error prevetents me from acessing the settings for powerdvd 5. Could anyone help please? They must be connected properly I've set cineplayer's settings to 5.1, dolby pro logic, and use system settings which are X.fi and still nothing Could someone please tell me the exact settings I need, or if i need to by pass something, as X-fi has alot of options like CmSS-3dsurround, dolby digital bit stream out and dts bit stream out and I dont know if stuff is getting mixed up or what. The Logitech speakers are just like standard, sub woofer with anolague connections , sound goes from my sound card to all the apropriat connections in the back of the sub , and then throo the connections to the speakers. I'd be greatful for any help I also have Soundblaster media centre thing too, but nothing seems to help get this right. |
