The best sound card for 2.0 setup?
Hi, what is the absolute best sound card within a reasonable budget for me to hook up my amp and speakers in my sig?

spdif or analogue output?, for2 channel your probably going spdif, so m-audio 24/96,

definatly going to be analogue! The amp is ~20 years old well before the days of spdif

ESI Juli@ is an excellent soundcard for analogue output (well, its excellent in its own right)

Yes, I'd agree with that. I use Media Portal with the Bass engine set to use the ASIO drivers.

Digital output is simply passthough via SPDIF. I have an AV amp to decode that.
