Need help with type of sound card.

Hi all.I am trying to find a card that will output Dolby 5.1 and Dts to my Denon 2805.I.v been looking arount these forums but cant find the answers I'm looking for.Have seen various cards some have the DTS logo some have not. This may seem stupid but do I need a card with the DTS logo to get DTS.I will be using digital outputs from the card to my Denon so could my Denon do the decoding. Some advice on what sound card to buy would be a help to.Many thanks.

Re: Need help with type of sound card.

this depends on the source - if you're playing games and want multi-channel sound to be sent as dts/dd to your receiver, you need one of the soundcards which support "dolby digital live" / "dts connect". If you just want to play the dd/dts tracks from a DVD or from DVB TV, a sound adapter with SPDIF connectivity suffices. If you haven't got already an SPDIF port on your motherboard, you can settle for a Trust SC-5250 or another cheap cmedia based card - they just work with my drivers.
