I'm thinking of getting a W995, Is the GPS any good ? what satnav software do you use with it ? can you use google maps ?

mine came from orange but was unbranded, it came with a 30 day wayfinder trial and google maps. i've only tried it once and the gps got my location spot on with google maps although you have to pay for a data connection obviously, however as it aquired/lost sats the location would jump by 1/4 mile or so every 10 secs before settling down.

it's a bit of an irritation when you consider that a dedicated sat nav only has a couple of gigs of ram and can perenantly hold all maps in memory but a 16gb phone needs to download data to do the same thing. i'd lake an app you could use in isolation without data charges.
