Can anybody please help me

I am trying to fit the M2 micro memory card into the SD Adaptor supplied with the phone.

The slot doesn't seem big enough and I cannot find a way of splitting the casing. Does this make sense? I have tried to find a demo on youtube etc. to no avail.
