W995 or C902

Hi all,

I was wondering of the two models which has the better camera? As I know that the amount of megapixels, do not make a better photo, only if you are contemplating A3 and above size prints.

Also while going down this route I notice the Nokia 5800, has 5.0 MP, as well how does this compare to the C902? (i know its a sony section)

Any help would be much appreciated - ta

W995 has an 8.1MP camera, pictures I have taken so far on it are superb looking.

Re: W995 or C902

The Nokia 5800 only has a 3.2 MP camera.

The W995 has has rave reviews and is supposed to be far superior to the C902 in all regards including the camera.

Re: W995 or C902

Just chiming in again, I don't really think I can say anything bad about the W995. If you have had a SE phone before you may find some of the menu options have changed and certain small things can't be done with it any more (or are harder to find in the menu), but it has an absolute s**tload of new features which far outweigh this, added with a brilliant camera, brilliant video recorder and lovely looks, it's the best phone I've ever owned and I'm really glad I bought it. Cheapest place I found it was Carphone Warehouse for £329.99 and I think you can choose whatever network you want to have it on (so it's sim free) rather then buying a network branded PAYG version.

Re: W995 or C902

It has the camera button on the side, but it doesn't actually activate unless you push it down firmly (which stops it activating in your pocket if accidentally pressed. The camera isn't covered by some rubbish bulky cover this time either so no more accidental openings when the phone is stored wasting your battery and you don't even know it. All the keys have lights around them so in camera mode the camera button glows white and has to be pressed and held for focus then pressed firmer to take the picture, or you can press the centre menu button and it will quickly auto focus and take the picture for you in one button press. LED flash (which also doubles as a handy torch function) on it too which some people have complained about and wanted a proper flash but I have had no problems with, all pictures taken (and videos) have come out beautifully so no complaints here.

Re: W995 or C902

Same applies for the Walkman function, the butons specifically for it glow orange then the Walkman is activated so you know which buttons to press and it also just looks cool, especially if you are in a dark environment! It truly is a great wee phone!

Re: W995 or C902

I have the W995 and had the C902. The C902 was a terrible phone, so much so I sent it back as not fit for the purpose.

Sony Ericsson C902

I have only had the W995 for just over a week and its a far better phone than the C902 in every way. No lock ups so far or dropped bluetooth connections. The camera is also better and doesn't have those silly touch buttons which were a gimmick and useless.

W995 vs C902 The W995 wins with ease.

Re: W995 or C902

Well my W995 has just been delivered, and is charging at this very moment - many thanks for the feedback, but just one question what is the point of the little stand at the back?
And how do I get my contact of my T mobile sim card (my k800i has died) onto my orange w995?

The small stand is for you to view video when the phone is laying on its side
