K660i bluetooth problem

I have a k660i which works fine with bluetooth. It finds everything I look for.

I got the same phone again for my wife and it will not find her car system or my phone via bluetooth when I search for devices. However, if I search on my phone for hers if finds it okay and both phones will connect and send files to and from. It's simply that her K660 just won't find new devices, only connect to those which find it.

I've tried:

Powering off and on a few times
Removing and replacing the battery
Downloading a file from the internet to check the phone accepts files (works)
Downloading/uploading a file from my phones to check the phone accepts files (works)
Changing the phone name a few times.

NB: Hidden mode is off. Car stereo has been reset too.

About a year ago my K660i stopped finding my car system in my car. I tried for ages and solved it by changing the phone name to something else, undocking the old name and starting again. My wife's stereo is more basic and does not list docked phones. Could it be as I docked my k660i it can't see the other? NB: Her old phone (not Sony) does see it.

It's all very strange as the phone works fine otherwise, except one thing that could be related. When I change the themes to anything other than the default 3 themes, the theme resets to the a default green 3 theme on power up. Perhaps this is because it's not unlocked, but could be a sign that there is a saving issue on the phone. This is why I tried downloading files but that works!

It sounds like a software problem/bug, so I checked the firmware version and it's just the same as my phone which works. So if it's not a bug, what is it? It's likely not hardware as it connects when found.

Can you help? Anybody seen this before?

Re: K660i bluetooth problem

All phones dock on my car system so it appears not to be the phone...
