w995 tracklisting order problem

hello

im new to sony ericssons, and am just finding my way onto putting my albums on it for the first time.

ive successfully put a kings of leon album on there, but it plays the tracks in alphabetical order, rather than the correct order. can anyone help me change the settings anywhere please? ive searched the big pdf manual file, but cant see any way of doing this.

thanks a lot :-)

Re: w995 tracklisting order problem

you neeed to make sure the files have the track numbers in their properties or it will default to alphabetical. By the sounds of it you have managed to rip your music without them being included in the mp3 tag. If you look at the files on your PC (assuming they're mp3) click properties-details and enter the track # next to # and click ok.

Most ripping software adds the track no.s when it creates the mp3. Or if you are using vista you can do the track no.s from the preview pane at the bottom of the window, again just enter the track no. in the # field and click save. Once you have the tracknumbers stored in the file properties recopy the files to the mobile and you should be all set.

You may actually find it quicker and easier to just rip the CD again using media-player for example so that it creates the appropriate track numbers as part of the files to save all the fiddling with each file one at a time.
