I'm a bit stumped by google maps on my new handset, its working fine as maps, gps, satellite images, etc but when I switch the traffic feature on I just get "no traffic info here" at the top right of the screen. I've confirmed on a PC browser that there is traffic info available in my area (the M1 past Dunstable for example) but I can't get it shown on my phone. The app is v2.3.1. Has anyone had any success with this (or knows a fix!?).

Ok so already answered my own question (why I couldn't find this before I posted I don't know ... tut). Anyway, google maps 2.3.2 does show the traffic info correctly on screen however it DOESN'T support the sony's built in GPS so all in all a bit of a pain in the bum. Downloading it to the phone also doesn't replace the existing 2.3.1 which appears in the sat menu or the shortcuts so I now have 2 versions of g.maps on my phone - one with GPS working but no traffic, one with traffic but no GPS (2.3.2 is also full screen so doesn't show the status bar at the top of the phone).

Hey ho, guess I'll have to watch for newer updates to g.maps, or possibly to the sony's firmware to get a working g.maps with gps included in the sony release onto the phone.

I have the same problem. Turns out that apparently UK traffic info isn't supported at all in Google Maps 2.3.1. It works in 2.3.2 but as you say the GPS on Sony Ericssons doesn't!
