Question Component SKY?

I was reading about a Freeview STB which has been software enabled to deliver component via SCART (with a suitable SCART to component video cable). If this is the case, in theory it should be possible for SKY to do the same. Does anyone know if this is possible and if so, how can we lobby SKY to implement it?

Possible, if Sky changed their box hardware spec, yes.

Likely to happen? No.

A software upgrade would do the trick as component would be sent on the same scart pins as R G and B. However, the chances of this are slim.

If it's a software upgrade, why are the chances slim? More and more TVs are available with component inputs and more and more people use component enabled projectors for their viewing.

If it's only a software upgrade as opposed to a hardware as a previous post suggested, we should lobby SKY.
