Remote problems

My sky remote is acting up and am just looking to see if it is fixable or not.
The problem is that the volume control and the power button when it is asigned to the tv no longer work. When the button is pressed the led will light up on top of the remote but nothing happens on the sky box to show it is getting the signal. It seems a little weird that the power button works fine switching the sky box on and of but it wont do it when assigned for the tv.

It sounds as if you need to re-enter the code for your particular make of TV. Press the Interactive button on the Sky remote and follow the instructions to find out your code and how to enter it into the remote.

Just to add: When in TV mode the red light on the Sky box will NOT flash.
