Help please

Hi i have a second sky+ setup in the bedroom, i have moved the room around and had to disconnect the cables from the dish to put longer cables on it. I have set it all back up and now i have it all working but the sound keeps stopping for split seconds. What have i done

I have tried to record a different channel will watching a channel and it can't do it . So i think 1 of the cables isn't connected properly would this be right??

Your connection to the second dish input (LNB 2) is missing, not connected correctly or has a short.
This will explain the inability to record while watching another - however not necessarily the sound problem.
Sound could be SCART as already mentioned or poor satellite signal (but in that case I'd also expect picture interference).
