Phone connection over mains for Sky+ question

Like a lot of people I don't have a phone socket anywhere near where my Sky+ box is, and currently run a extention cable to it.

Cost of getting a actual phone socket in the room is a bit on the steep side, so I was looking at alternative solutions, ie phone over mains type things.


Anyone using a phone over mains system? Any your recommend, or would advise avoiding.

Also found a wireless phone extender.

Unless you're getting multiroom you don't need your Sky+ box permanently connected to your phoneline anyway. Just get the phone extension out when you want to order pizza, box office movies or vote on the X Factor...

Yep, unfortunately I do have multi-room otherwise I would have ditched the phone connection years ago.
