I'll try to explain.

Basically, the sky+ remotes that we have both work fine usually, when we press a button, the led on the remote lights up.
We can work the tv with both the remotes fine, but when trying to work the sky+ box, the box doesn't believe it's trying to be used.
As usually the led for the remote on the sky+box lights up when a button is pressed, but now it refuses to do so and will not accept that we are trying to use the remote with it.

We have turned the box off for a while then turned it back on again,
We have replaced the battery's in the remotes,
We have made sure we push the 'sky' button on both remotes just to make sure it's set for sky, but nothing

Anything else we can try????

Thanks for that, but glad I didnt have to do it in the end, as we have a lot of stuff still to watch from the hard drive.

I unplugged the box from the mains overnight, and plugged it all back in again this morning, and it then worked fine.

They should really make these boxes more reliable for their customers, begins to make me think they make them be faulty on purpose
