Signal Booster with magic eye

This may well be a dumb question so apologies in advance, i have recently moved my sky+ into a bedroom as part of multiroom and wanted to use it in another room upstairs via magic eye, after a full day yesterday changing cables and replacing the original magic eye it has become obvious that my sky+ box is not giving out the required voltage from the rf2 output.
My question is can i use a simple signal booster as a way of providing power to the magic eye? Or do they not provide voltage? I dont really have an understanding of what a signal booster is but just happen to have a spare one in the house but dont want to start using one and causing damage to the tv or further damage to my sky+ box.

thanks

david

Re: Signal Booster with magic eye

Have you enabled the RF2 output?
