I was using an old Pace/Panasonic? box for freeview as my old Sky+ box won't autochange and it worked perfectly, evev though it was fairly old,

Unfortunately, this was stolen recently and I want to get a replacement on eBay but I can't remember the model.

When I ask the sellers on eBay if their item has autochange, they don't seem to understand my question.

Can anyone recommend a good model to go for?

Do you mean Autoview?

If you do this feature is not available on Sky+ as they assume you would record the programme you want to switch to anyway.

Autoview was really designed for use with video recorders and normal Sky boxes, so you could make sure the correct channel was selected when you start a timed recording. As with Sky+ you can record on its own hard disc, Sky figured its not required.

Any standard Sky box will autoview -It's just the Sky+ boxes that don't have this feature.
As you're using it just for freesat (freeview is digital terestrial TV and something completely different), there's no point to having a Sky+ box anyway.
