Will I lose Picture Quality over Long Cable?

I've just bought a new TV and put it in a different part of the room to where the old one was. I have Sky+, one of the cables (from the dish) can reach my new set up, but the second one can't.

My question is, if I was to get an extention cable and attach it to the short one, will I lose any picture quality?

Thanks

I dont think many peoples run of cable will be much longer than mine my sky dish had to be at the end of the garden to get signal so my cable runs the whole lenght of the garden up the side of the house over the top down the front and in to the front room.

My P/Q is great so i would say nothing to worry about.

Hope this helps
