New Install Question - Quad LNB Request

I've got a sky engineer coming next week to install a new box and dish at home. I will have my old equipment just lying around, would it be possible to request for the installer to give me a quad lnb and wire up both boxes?
Also what box should I be expecting to get and which is currently the best digibox?

Certainly not *give*.
It seems most installers are quite flexible with customer's requests and provided they have the equipment, the time (they run to a very tight schedule) and some sort of incentive they are happy to oblige.
Or, you could source your own quad LNB and ask the installer to use that instead.
Either way something should be offered. The alternative is a private installer.

Thanks for the advice, will keep that in mind.
I also wanted to know which digiboxes are being supplied atm and which is the best box to go for. This is in case I have an option to choose my box, depending on the installer.

Usually you'll get what's on the van

Depends on your definition of "best". I prefer the Panasonic TU-DSB40 because it's silver, reliable and has a fast processor. Some people prefer the Grundig GDS2000 because it's silver and has an S-Video output socket. But you won't find either of those on a Sky van!
