Cool No Sky RF.

I have just installed a Sky + box to replace my old Sky box. With the original one I had the RF output connected to a 3-way amp and this was then co-axed through to the other rooms - this worked perfectly. Having got the Sky + box set up and working I cant seen to find the Sky RF signal at all. The TV Ariel signal is being distributed as before but try as I might I cant locate any Sky + RF at all.
Can anyone point me in the right direction or have I got a fault Sky + box.
Many Thanks.

Re: No Sky RF.

I strongly suspect your new Sky box has a different RF channel selected. Try re-tuning your TV's.

Re: No Sky RF.

Have you checked the tuning on the TV set(s) connected to RF2?

The default setting on receivers is Channel 68 and your previous receiver *may* have been set to another channel.
So, either retune the TVs or select another RF output channel on the Sky box

Re: No Sky RF.

Connect via Scart.

Press [services] 401 [select] 4

Set the RF output channel to the number you had on the old box.
Set the RF outlet power to ON.
Save the settings.

Thumbs down Re: No Sky RF.

I really appreciate the advice - most of which I had already tried - but thanks to you all anyway.
Sadly none of the TV's appear to be receiving the Sky RF signal on any channel. I have tried a full channel search on each one but to no avail. Any other ideas please?

Re: No Sky RF.

There are two RF outs on a Sky box. Try the other one and see if this works. If it does you have a box with only one working RF - so return it.

Thumbs up Re: No Sky RF.

Thanks to everyone who posted all the very useful info to my problem. I took another look at the spaghetti at the back of my TV system - pulled out all the RF leads and re-installed. Swapped the RF output channel on the sky box and re-tuned the other TV's to the new Chanl number - BINGO Everything appears to be hunky-dory now.
Thanks posted to everyone.
Cheers
