Getting sky from A to B

Hi all,

Yup, i currently have video sender and its driving me crazy. My current set up is Sky+ in the living room. Circa 25ft away is the small TV in the kitchen where i like to watch sky+ programs whilst cooking. Then drifting into the living room watching the program as i go.

AV sender currently bridging the gap.

The problem being that i live in a heavily signalled area, using a sniffer the 2.4Ghz band is drowning! The drop outs are horrendous.

So looking for other options to use, open to suggestions, but the easiest solution of RF2 & Magic Eye is out due to the doors etc in the way, and solid wood floors stopping me dragging a thin RF cable through.

On the of chance anybody here is an expert on these things, the house is network hard wired so can use that, but it seems very expensive.

Options welcomed

thanks,

Benjamin

Have you thought of 5.8GHz?

If you are just "drifting" into the kitchen whilst cooking, do you really need to be able to change channel from the kitchen?

You could maybe use one of these for IR:
