Satellite wire problems - no sat signal

Hi all,

I was arranging something behind the TV and accidentally pulled out the sat wire that runs from the sky box to the sat output in the wall..

the screw thingy at the end of the wire came off and I wasn't able to put it back into the wall.. Can i just buy a new wire from somewhere? or should I be able to manage to put it back in? Its saying No Satellite Signal being Recieved now obviously..

any help appreciated

If you don't feel competent enough to refit the 'screw thingy' (), then Maplins and other outlets of that ilk sell ready made cables for satellite STB to wall plate connection.

EDIT: See here for how to fit F connectors

Re: Satellite wire problems - no sat signal

doesn't sound too difficult

should the wire be firmly stuck into the wall socket? As in, should be really tight / difficult to take out again?
