Advice on wireless video senders and Sky+

I want to send the signal from my Sky + digi box to a second TV in the bedroom, without paying a further subscription and am looking for some advice on wireless senders etc.

If I do this would it be possible to someone to watch Freeview on the main set downstairs through the seperate loft aerial and watch Sky in the bedroom?

Can I use the Sky remote upstairs (or buy a second one)?

What is the best wireless sender on the market?

Re: Advice on wireless video senders and Sky+

I dont know about wireless senders but I have run a coax from the second RF out on the back of the sky box to a bed room, this just plugs into the back of the tv.. Then you just buy the extension kit for a supermarket that consists of a second remote and the red eye adapter (infra red sensor) plus the instructions on activating the second RF output. I cant remember how to do that just now.

You would be able to watch freeview and sky together. The coax will be a lot cheaper that a wireless sender and be more reliable. I would only consider a sender if wired is impossible or you want to send to multiple devices.

Re: Advice on wireless video senders and Sky+

Got something like this over a year ago from Argos for less than £30.

http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Produc...er/5344273.htm

We use it to send the Sky signal from our living room to our small 17" TV in the bedroom upstairs. Picture and sound is good enough for our needs, but there is a tiny bit of interference though.

We bought a 2nd Sky remote so that we can change channels upstairs.

We don't have Freeview as we don't have an aeriel connected in our property, but can't see why you can't watch Freeview in one room, and Sky in the other.

I use these and they work fine.

One word of warning, they don't like wireless signals nearby...
