Re: Sky + with freesat

Bump............I'm in the same situation, ie. sky+ and "freesat".

I'm guessing we'll continue getting the £10 p/m charge from Sky. They have nothing to gain by not charging us.

Re: Sky + with freesat

The £10 Sky+ charge is only waived for subscribers.

IMHO, it would be madness to pay £10 a month to record just the free channels, when you can subscribe to the min package with a decent choice of channels for £15 INCLUSIVE of Sky+.

Thanks, and yes I think you're right. May as well subscribe to a cheap package as pay £10 just for Sky+.

Though I may just get a Freeview box with built in HD.

Re: Sky + with freesat

If you really want to do it, subscribe to the minimum package for 6 days then phone and cancel but insist on paying £10 a month to retain the recording facility. The £5 a month saving may not seem a lot but it's still £60 a year for something you are prepared to do without.
