Programme has been recorded on Sky+ but wont playback
I have one particular programme in my planner that has been recorded but I can't get it to play. Can anyone help please?
All other programmes in the planner will play. The one that won't gets as far as the screen where you select the start position but then the select/play/back up buttons stop working. To get out of that screen I have to press either the TV Guide or Sky button.

This has happened to me on three separate occasions in the last 6 or 7 months. I just put it down to a software glitch.

OK, so you just have to forget about watching it and delete it? That's really annoying! I take it it deletes without any trouble then?

Re: Programme has been recorded on Sky+ but wont playback
This is down to corruption of either the planner entry or the recording itself. These can both often be cured by a Sky+ planner rebuild - "Services" "System setup" "0" "1" "Select" takes you to the hidden installers setup menu. The planner rebuild will not usually affect good recordings but will sometimes repair corrupted ones otherwise it marks them as failed

Thanks for that advice. I never thought of using the planner rebuild option. I'll try that next time.
Cheers

Tried the planner rebuild, it made no difference. Thanks anyway.
Any more suggestions folks before I delete it?

If this was a movie or a channel you no longer subscribe too then you won't be able to view it. real nice of sky 4 that one.

But the reverse is also true - you can record channels you do not subscribe to and upgrade your subscription at a later date (for a month or so) and then watch them. A current subscription is required to watch any programme or recording.
