Sky + box - sound interference

Hi

Had my Sky + for about a year now, and to be honest I think its been doing this for a while but I've never bothered to sort it out. I've just got myself a shiny new LCD TV and the issue is now bugging me more!

Anyway, it seems that there is some sort of interference occuring with the box. This is most noticeable when the sound on the TV is turned up and the full screen menu is on screen(i.e. no sound from any programs so you can just hear the interference).

The noise varies from a humming noise to white noise and also I'm sure I could hear some voices at one point! (possibly from a TV program?)

I am connecting via scart and I have just bought a new gold plated cable to see if that helps, but it didn't.

Cut the wires off Scart plug pins 1 and 3 at the TV end.

Thanks. I've tried this and it seems to have gotten rid of most of the interference(if not all). However, there is still some noise noticeable on the menu screen when you turn the sound up really loud. Its seems to just be a single tone that changes when you move about the menu, a bit difficult to describe really. I don't know if it is interference?

The noise from before has gone now though. Thanks again.
