Can't upgrade Sky+ software help

Hi ppl,

I have recently moved from a flat where I couldn't have a Sky dish to one where the dish and cabling is already installed.

I have a Sky+ box already and bought a Freesatfromsky viewing card to use with it.

So, I connected everything up correcly then phoned FSFS to activate the viewing card. They told me I needed to update the software on my Sky+ box which I did by turning off the box, holding in the backup button and then turning it on. An "Updating system software" message appeared on the screen for about 10 minutes.

After doing this, I turned the box back on and check the software version, same as before, i.e. it hadn't updated.

I told FSFS this and they said that they couldn't do anything as there must be something wrong with my box and I should get an independent to look at it.

Could you please advise as to what I can do to get the box upgraded.

Thanks

Lee

Re: Can't upgrade Sky+ software help

It would help to know 3 things about the box

1 The manufacturer
2 Version number
3 EPG Software version

These can be found from "Services" "System setup" "System details"
