Splitting a multiroom Sky subscription

Hi all. Im going to be moving to my own flat in the next couple of months. Basically we have a multiroom Sky sub with my box (SkyHD) and a normal digi box downstairs.

What Id like to do is take my SkyHD box over to my new flat (already has two satellite feeds), keep my viewing card (so I can watch my existing recordings) while setting up a new Sky account for me.

Is this a common request and has anyone here done anything similar?

Thanks for your thoughts

dan

Re: Splitting a multiroom Sky subscription

Is the account in your name? If so cancel multiroom, ring Sky to change address etc and get a new account for the standard box at the old address.

Usually Sky will issue a new card for a new account and deactivate your old card which means your old recordings will be inaccessable.
