Sky Plus Multiroom Problem
Hi I have Sky plus with multiroom. If I try and watch a recorded programme or live tv in the room where my second (old box) resides then the picture is poor.
Every other tv picks up the picture fine is just in the room with the old sky box in.
Thanks

If you are connecting both boxes to the problem TV by coax on the RF output - you almost certainly have interference between the RF outputs of the two dodgiboxes. Do you get a bad picture when you take the second box out of the circuit - merely connect the coax from the other room direct to the TV with the second box switched off at the mains? If the picture improves you will need to change the RF output channel of the dodgibox in that room. - "Services" "system setup " "0" "1" "Select" takes you to the hidden installers menu - just those buttons, no others and screen will not change until final select after "system setup". Option "RF outlets" change the RF channel number (anything between 21 and 68) and save and then retune TV to that channel - you may have to try this several times to avoid interference with terrestrial digital and analogue channels BUT you should be able to find one.

Re: Sky Plus Multiroom Problem
Thanks for that I will give this a try.
Just to be clear In room 1 I have Skyplus ...works fine
I all rooms I can see the picture perfectly through a booster.
In the room that has the second digibox, I get a poor picture watching the recorded programme from the Skyplus.

That's to be expected
You need to tell us how you have your digiboxes connected...by scart lead or RF etc?

Re: Sky Plus Multiroom Problem
ok...
sky plus multiroom set up.
box 1 sky plus box in living room.
box 2 pace digibox
from the digibox i have a scart connection to the tv in that room and also a regular lead from the rf out to the tvs aerial socket.
I tried "bypassing" box 2 and connecting the coax direactly into the back but that made no differnce either.
I also changed the rf out on both boxes to diff channels but no differnce.

In that case I would suspect a fault in your booster or downlead to that particular room.

Re: Sky Plus Multiroom Problem
you could try a sky plus combiner which feeds the rfout2's from the sky boxes onto 1 coax before the dist amp

Re: Sky Plus Multiroom Problem
Ok so this is not a multirrom problem as such basically bypassing the second skybox makes no differnece. So why then do I have a poor picture in one room and not the others?
What does a bosster look like and where would it be in my set up??
thx

I think you should call in an aerial rigger and get it looked at.
Did you fit the cable to the other room yourself?
You already told us you had a booster so you should know what it looks like.
