I've finally cancelled Sky.

Last week i phoned SKY regarding the Anytime on TV and was told my SKY+ box was not compatable? I got put through to another customer service agent who said they could install a GRADE A refurbished SKY+ box which would be compatable FOC! Excellent i thought, until last night that is.

At about 7.30pm i recieved a call from the installation guy confirming the time he would be round to install the new box, i had also recieved 2 letters from SKY regarding the installation for today, whilst on the phone with the installation guy i checked to make sure the box he would be installing was a PVR3 which is what i had been told was what was needed to access SKY Anytime on TV, The reply was NO! I had been allocated a GRADE A refurbished PVR1 which was exactly the same as the one i already have. He agreed it was a waste of time.

After over 2 hours on the phone to SKY last night they finally stated i would not be able to have one of these boxes unless i paid £49 for it, this was never mentioned last week and the customer service agent even accepted that it stated on my account about the free upgrade to recieve SKY Anytime on TV.

I would like to say that i have been happy with SKY over the last 7 years and did not threaten to cancel at any time.

I have subscribed to the full package with multiroom at a cost of over £50 a month for the last several years but last night as they could not keep to their word i decided to cancel. I will take the path that many others are and look into DVD via post.
