Why is there 2 RF connections

on the back of my sky+ boxes?

I take it one is an alternative to SCART, but whats the other one for?

And if I'm using a scart lead on for the main TV can I also run another TV (kitchen for example) using the output from the RF connector - does the sky+ box output from both the SCART and RF connectors simultaneously?

One is a dumb output in that it's like anyother RF output on other boxes and can send a signal to a VCR,TV or other device while the RF2 is powered and can be used to send and receive signals for use with a TVlink or Gnome (I think).

All video outputs are active.

yep as mentioned, all the outputs are available at the same time.

You can plug a tv link on the (rf2) cable in the kitchen (and from there to the set), so that you can control the sky box from in there (they are about 20-30 quid, with an extra remote).

One thing to note is that you can't output different pictures to the two set's, the kitchen will show what the main set is.

you can configure it to switch between widescreen/4:3 if you have a "square" tv only in the kitchen, depending on which remote is in use at the time.
