Sky special heights problems HELP!!!!!

m seriously getting

Sky special heights have come 8 times and every body else can get sky on my road

When these sky heights team come they say only 50% signal is being received and that leaves growing will interfere more with the reception.

But when i got a quote from a private company they got an 81% signal or something so i know i can have sky.

When i told sky this they said they are only allowed to put the dish certain ways.

Everybody on my road has has it i haved just moved but now a cheap company my next door used are out of business
I was quoted £500 for Sky multiroom + thats way to much for me

Do you know any cheaper sky private engineers in the billericay, chelmsford area for a cheaper price please i really need a reply, as freeview is extremely boring and my kids are getting restless and so am i

Re: Sky special heights problems HELP!!!!!

Just to be clear. What your saying is there are trees in the line of sight of the dish. If thats the case then you will have problems, if not now, later as the leaves come out, and as the trees grow larger.

I've had to move my dish, that was fine for years due to a neighbours tree growing into its line of sight.

Can the dish be positioned anywhere that has a clear line of sight?

Well its true to say the dish has to face a certain way IE towards the satelite. Don't understand why other installs could be illegal.

Re: Sky special heights problems HELP!!!!!

What the Sky installers are saying is that your dish cannot be fitted to Sky's specification and they are not willing to break the rules in order to get the signal you require.

If the independants fit the dish then Sky are not responsible for the system and so do not have to keep going out to it all the time (costing them money).
I've seen dishes fitted appaulingly by independants before one was on 10' of pole swaying around in the lightest of breezes. So the thing to check for is if the independant is reputable and going to be sticking around and not changing his tel. no. every 2 months! Get a written guarantee stating what is covered by his install and what ins't.

Cheers, Franc
