I already have a Sky+ box, a dish and a cables - can I get Sky ?

Know may sound like real DUMB question - but ....

Lived with parents until December and when I was there we had Sky Multi-room. I had a Sky+ box which I purchased for around £200 or so not long after they came out

Moved into own home - previous occupants had Sky and have left behind a Sky dish and the cables etc - so could I get sky ?

Could I just call up Sky and subscribe ?

I would plug the TWO cables into the SKY+ box, check I got a signal then call Sky for a card.

Re: I already have a Sky+ box, a dish and a cables - can I get Sky ?

sorry to ask two more possibly dumb questions

1) I currently have standard sky subscription and I was wondering if it was possible to buy a Sky+ box to swap and use for standard subscription

2) I currently have a big ol Amstrad box (for 4 yrs now) and would love to know :- (a) what the smallest skybox is out there to buy. i.e one with smallest footprint

Jaycee it was not fraudulent question but an error in the what i was getting at, but my question was, what standard sky boxes is sky sending to its new customers nowadays to warrant me signing up for a new 1 yr deal. It wont cost me anything to have them change my box apart from me having to take time off work which is more of a hassle, sorry

cheers

I have a similar question I think

The previous owners of the house obviously had multi room and the cables for a second box are in (as luck would have it) my cinema room

Could I purchase a cheap second hand sky box and then on days when I want to watch the football could I just whip my card upstairs ? That way could watch footy on the pj

Yes you can.Even without an activated viewing card youll get 100+ channels.Lots of those are good.Or you can subscribe to sky for more.If i were you,set it up if not already and enjoy the freebees.Puts normal so called freeview boxes to shame.
