You are best to run a telephone cable to where the Sky box is going yourself. You can put it under the carpet (we are not allowed) and buy them cheaply from wilkos poundstretcher etc. We will also charge you if it is over 10m long (bear in mind going over a door frame is nearly 5m alone). Offer to pay the installer to run a cable to your consevatory etc if you want to watch the Sky on another TV. He will know what he is doing and offer a TV link for about £65 (£20 cheaper than going through Sky). Multiroom sky is different though it does not matter where you get the second box from (ebay carboot etc). But still offer the engineer say £20-30 to run another cable from the sky dish to the second location. Cheers, Franc

RG6 is no good. It has to be CT100 but that is sooooo expensive at the mo. Just as good is H109F which should be cheaper. For a TV link it doesn't matter too much but you'd still be better in the long term to pay the installer on the day. Cheers, Franc

RG6 or equivalent is fine for UHF but not recommended for LNB signals.

LOL dumbass installer! How much did you dlip him to fit the link?
Cheers, Franc
p.s. check the frequency of the sky+, if it is 68, lower the frequency and retune the TV in the conservatory and the picture should be better than before.
