When I had sky HD installed back in may, I had some card issues, ie they could not pair up my existing sky + card to the new box, After about 20 phone calls to sky and a week with no sky,I was finally told that because so many notes had been added to my account by staff who basically had no idea what they were doing, my account was completely messed up. So they had no option but to start me again from scratch with a new account number and viewing card. I was also informed that the old account would be cancelled and for the inconvienience I would be getting 6 months half price subs. When the card arrived I phoned sky and set up the direct debit for the new account and told the guy that I had cancelled the direct debit for the old account. All was sorted and I have had no problems with viewing....However I now keep getting letters from sky with refference to the old account, saying that because I have cancelled the direct debit I would have to pay my subs via payment slip. When the first letter arrived I phoned to clarify that the account was no longer running and that I now had a new account. sorted!....since then I have had 7 letters asking me to pay my subs for the old account by the payment slip. the last letter came this morning and they are practically demanding that I pay this money. So basically I don't know what to do because phoning doesn't seem to do any good. So I am wondering whether I should just ignore the letters in the hope that one day some bright spark will realise that the account is dead and that I have a new one, or should I write to their accounts department..
