Quick pin number question

Being that i`ve never had sky+ before. Is the pin munber related to ones account number? I got my hello letter today and it said that for box office stuff the pin is typically the last four digits on the viewing card. Does this mean i have to remove it to see what the number is?

Daft question i know, but hey, im new to all this hdd recording stuff.

I found myself in the same situation last week - the number is also written on the letter that comes with your viewing card.

Your Viewing-card number is also shown in the Services Menu.

press "Services" then Option 5: (System Details)
