Sound Up and down on Planet Earth

Did anyone else notice this last night, it was only slight, but the sound was going up and down every now and then! I am using dig out to sony 5.1 DSS system.

The only time I noticed the sound change was when they moved to the planet Earth Diarys section. Both days I had to turn the volume up at this point and then when the programme finished I had to turn it back down again.

Other than that I thought the sound was exellent both days. I didn't realise how much improvement Dolby 5.1 would make to a documentry untill watching Planet Earth.

....or they're just recorded at different levels?....

I recorded it last night and the first thing I noticed when wathcing iot later was how soft the the voices where. I had to turn it up a alot!

It still said DD 5.1 while in the diary section, my amp didn't change.
