Take your viewing card out and write down the last four digits. Re-insert and then try these last four digits as the PIN. Otherwise it is a call to sky to find out your PIN.

Angry

Cant find how to input pin number.
I select channel 409 I get a blue screen with text stating
Welcome to sky movies 9&10
you may need to enter a pin to view
If a pin is not required this channel will display automatically.
If I try to input a pin number it just tries to change channel.

Sorry mate, but is uh huh a yes or no ??

I don't speak modern English and it could be construed either way to me.

When I type my PIN, I change channel.

I'll ask again.

Should I be getting 9 & 10 or not, via Telewest ???

Simple answers please

If Yes, does that mean, I need to call Telewest, given the changing channel thing ?

I thought I'd ask directly, so I phoned them up.

It transpires that the upgrades are supposed to take care of this, but don't.

I spoke to a nice chap called "KAI".
He reckoned 90% of people wouldn't know how to send the "buzz" and said to ask for him at Customer services.

Sorted, straight away

He said there is only one "KAI", so maybe worth an ask

To clarify, yes you should get 9 & 10.
Whether it's true HD or not, I forgot to ask

yes you should be able to get sky movies 9 & 10 (pin protected before 9 pm for films rated 12 and below )but they are NOT in HD.

The only 2 HD channels on the Telewest platform are 108 (BBC HD) and (ITV HD).

There is of course HD material on the Teleport service

This is probably the most long standing bug on the TVdrive, it's been around ever since i got mine in january. They are trying to fix it. Seems it's to do with sky's pin protection on the channel used for films 12+ before 9 and anything after nine. I suspect sky arn't helping TW sort this out, and as such i'm tempted to phone up and ask to cancel my sky movies subs, after all there's bugger all on any sky movies channel 99% of the time.

I felt that the movie channels became a waste of money a few years ago. I'm sure that the quality dropped off a lot when pay-per-view took off.

I actually much prefer the pay-per-view idea of paying for movies.
