Got This email today

Hi, sorry if this info has already been posted but recieved this email this morning. How accurate is it??

Sky HD box £299
Sky HD subscription £10/ month

and that's it??
Obviously taking in to account of the usual sub fee for you standard sky channels, but it's only £10 on top of what we're paying just now??? That's great

It's accurate. However, with some channels you only get HD if you subscribe to the SD equivalents (i.e. to get Sky Moves 9HD, you have to subscribe to the Sky Movies 1 package, and to get Sky Moves 10HD, you have to subscribe to the Sky Movies 2 package).

I don't understand what's so great. £299 + £120 per year to watch potentially a handful of channels showing a mixture of HD and upscaled SD. I'll think I'll wait until there's a lot more content of original material in HD before I decide to jump on the bandwagon.

Me too. I can't see the point in paying £120 a month for a handful of channels that I rarely watch in SD. I'm not sitting through a load of National Geographic movies purely for the novelty of HD, which will soon wear off, and make all the other channels look even worse.

Nobody is forcing you to get HD so get off the HD forum you moaners!

All i watch on Sky is Stargate, Battlestar, sports and movies! That makes HD ideal for me as they'll all be shown in HD! Score!

We're just entitled to our opinion as everyone else is. I'm not knocking any of you for jumping in so quickly.
