SKY+ upgrading

I've plumbed Sky+ in for my parents who are on the Top package (movies and sport), however they got a deal because they upgraded to the full package from having Freesat so they only pay 21 a month.

I've gone through and had the card paired to the box and everything and the lay on the other end of the phone said she had activated the card to sky+, I did the new install options, and I thought all done. The Sky+ activation did not take straight away, but knowing it can sometimes take a while to come through went home and told my mom to press the pause button in the morning and make sure it's working.

She did and it did not. So she phoned the 0870 800800 (or whatever) number that comes up and said why have I not got Sky+ and she was told they cannot have it? Why?

They have 2 premium bundles, just because they don't pay full price I don't see why they should not be allowed it?

Any ideas people?

Thanks

Ashleigh

Yeah, phone back and you'll probably get a different answer from a different rep (and hopefully the right answer !!)

I'm assuming by "they cannot have it" that you mean SKY wouldn't give it to your parents for free as they have the 2 premium bundles? Or did SKY say that they can't have it at all?

Not really sure what Sky said (as my Mom spoke to them), but from what she said, it was 'no you cannot have it', I'll phone back and say either turn it on or cancel my subscription, and I DO pay 42quid a month!

The reps at Sky seem very 'uneducated' as the first one I spoke to (and gave up on) said the Sky card my parent's had could not be paired up to a Sky+ box!

Oh well.... I'll speak to someone there when I'm over at my parents on Saturday.
