Sky+ Box fault today

Any help will be appreciated.

No Sky this morning, standby light resolutely red. Phoned Sky (after removing plug and waiting - as per standing instructions) who downloaded data via the phone line. Did not work after this so an engineer is calling (Saturday).

Is there anything else that I should try?

Also if they change the box is there any way that I can recover the hours of stored programmes on the hard drive? I did note a couple of USB ports.

Thanks.

sounds a bit like what ours used to do on occasion

have you left it unplugged a good while and tried again ?

may take a few goes, but it may work - that's about the only thing i can help with

good luck

It is a Thomson DS16210. Is there a history of problems with this one.

Thanks for your help.

Don't know about the Thomson box, but know that there are problems with the Amstrad's...

Could you please post the verdict after the sky person has been out looking at the box?

Cheers
