Sky+ ghosting new install

Hi all,

Just moved house and had my existing Sky+ re-installed.

Have noticed though, that there is a little ghosting moving from left to right like a line when watching Sky. Everything else (Xbox, DVD etc) seems unaffected.

All the settings are okay and cabling all tight, anybody got any ideas? The setup at my other house was okay.

TIA?

Hi,
use a better shielded scart lead this will get rid of your problem

i thought about that, but I can't see how it can be the scart cable because:

I have a Joytech Scart control center, everything (Sky, DVD, Xbox) plugs into that and then one scart goes to the TV. All the other items are okay and all the scart cables are the same as I had in the previous house, with one exception.....due to location I had to buy a 4M scart cable that goes from the TV to the control center as my 3M one was not long enough. Now if it was that cable that was faulty, then surely I would have the same problem on DVD and Xbox feed.

Does that make any sense?

The cable is probably not "faulty" just poorly screened.
Can you try the original scart back on it to prove the point.

I will try the original scart tonight to see if it makes a difference.

The new scart cost me £40 from Comet, I think its a Monster one! Its all I could find in that length in a hurry!
